Dreamhost cluster got hacked and so did my blog

So apparently my blog was hacked because a whole cluster of Dreamhost’s servers were hacked and my website was on that cluster as well. So their were able to run bash scripts to all of their customers on their cluster. Dreamhost eventually gave me temporary upgrade for that problem; but i never took advantage of that.

Lesson learned always use git or svn for your projects. At the time, i didn’t know how to do those things!

Anyways, when i do have time i’ll be back up soon!

Current News: I currently work for Globe Runner SEO in lewisville, texas and in my spare time i contribute to mymentalspace.com.

I still currently run my photography company part time as well. http://holymoleephoto.com.

Thanks for visiting!

Thickbox Loading Forever and Ever Problem

Thickbox 3.1 is excellent to use. However, it will load forever and ever and will hang there. After monkeying around with various things and checking that everything is linked. I searched and scoured google for some answers. The answer lied in the wordpress forum. Which i cannot find the link again for the life of me.

The issue was that Thickbox 3.1 uses jquery 1.2.6. The version that i was using 1.3.2. In order to correct this dilemma. You just remove the @ symbol from line 78. I’ve went to the longest yard and have uploaded the version for you to download: Thickbox-min.js  (ZIP)

Search Ad Marketing

Search Ad Marketing is a web site project I helped on for 3.7 Designs of Ann Arbor. In this project, Ross (my direct supervisor) provided the look and feel.

This project brought some interesting challenges when templating in wordpress. The client required the contact form to be in two places: Front page and on the contact page itself. In order to solve this problem i ended up utlilizing a body selector to specifically  hide forms on specific pages/posts.

Role: My role in this project was to convert this mockup into xhtml/css. Additionally, this website would run on WordPress. So a theme was needed to be developed.

Technologies: WordPress, xHTML, CSS

Plugins: Title tag, Contact Form 7

Sandy Heng

Sandy Heng is a website that I worked on back in October 2008. This is a project I worked on for 3.7 Designs. This project was simple in that it was a small 5 page website. The art and photoshop mockup was already provided.

Role:  On this project I worked solely on xhtml/css coding and implementation into a wordpress theme.

Lessons: WordPress is an excellent framework to use for blistering fast website production. I was able to complete the mockup to website in nearly 3 days.

One Brick at a Time Part II

One Brick at a time is a performance and production produced by Ruhala Center of Performing arts in Haslett. They tapped me to do poster design for their performances. Eventually the performance was highly successful and required using the poster repeatedly.

If you were tuned in before you might have known that I had another previous design that I provided a design form Ruhala.

Eventually they wanted a design that was more clean and oriented toward families. They liked the previous design but felt that it didn’t fit the type of play that One Brick at a Time exuded.
