Ingenex Digital Blog

In January 2008, I’ve been working part time for Ross at Ingenex Digital (Which was at the time a company consisted of two merged companies: Ingenex Marketing and 3 Point 7 Designs) .

I had to work with a pre-existing art concept / direction ( designed by Ross ) & also create a blog-like type look.

Some things i’ve drew from inspiration was some mark boulton and the New York Times website . Which i believe Boulton had participated in designing.

Ottaway Digital

The company I worked for, Ottaway Digital ( a web and digital marketing firm in Royal Oak ) needed a website revamping to improve their bounce rate as well as provide visitors with a fresh new updated look. This is the first website i’ve implemented with WordPress to allow Ottaway Digital to rank higher on google Search Engine Results Page (SERP): in order to bring in more organic leads and reduce the costs of PPC campaigns. The website features a blog and a portfolio that is easily updated and coded to be optimized for Search Engine Marketing (SEO).

Gorno Ford

In December of 2008, I was hired to work at Ottaway Digital, a subdivision of Ottaway Communications, Inc (OCI). This was my first website developed with their company. With this website, I was given the role of designing, coding, art direction and developing a visual web identity for this Melvindale Ford Auto Dealer.

The biggest problems considered in designing this website was scalability and the ability to update sale specials efficiently without the use of a content management system. With clean coding and PHP templating this makes life simpler and easier for the company i worked for, OCI: By proactively reducing the cost of hours on monthly updates.

Nicholas Creative Media

A small design shop Nicholas Creative Media needed a web presence. At the time the one person company I was working for had several clients and in which he did not have his own website or web presence at all. This website was a collaboration of my creative vision as well as (the CEO) Nicholas Chilenko’s ideas and thoughts into it. The website’s largest challenges was building something that is minimal and very eye catching as well. Other than art direction (handled by Nicholas), my role in this project was xhtml/css, and php design, coding. This was a website that did not use a cms system but its goal was for assessibility and search engine findability.

MJR Theaters

While I was working for Ottaway Communications, I designed a landing page for their social media/pay per click campaign. If you’re not familiar with landing pages, they’re a short small one page website with web copy and an instant call to action is required.

The landing page contained copy to convince and entice people to choose MJR Theatres over other competitors because of quality. This landing page accompanied an additional campaign that would draw users from Myspace and Google Pay Per Click Campaigns. The Myspace Campaign included web display (flash) banners which utilized the slogan, “Do it digitally”.

Role: Art Direction, xHTML/CSS, Image Production
